This is a very simple note to describe what we do about data protection.
Our website
The site uses no cookies other than those that the WordPress platform uses to keep the site running. There is no shop on the website. We use WeGotTickets, which has its own GDPR policy.
The site is as accessible as we can make it. We publish an email address, lyond@essex.ac.uk for comments and complaints.
Our mailing list
We produce weekly emails about the next gig, and the odd additional email. We do not email information for outside entities. We do not provide information from our mailing list to outside entities.
People are placed on the mailing list only if they fill in a consent form, either online or on a paper form.
All emails have an unsubscribe facility.
Our email provider is Mailchimp. It has mechanisms for right of access, right to be forgotten and right to object. They publish their GDPR compliance.
